| FUNCTIONS
CAD is a division
of the OLAMWA provided by Section 899 of the 1995 DFA Rules and
Regulations. Its mandate is to handle all matters pertaining
to assistance to Filipino citizens abroad, including seamen and
contract workers. Its specific duties are to manage all
matters pertaining to assistance to nationals and the development
and implementation of policies relating to concerns, welfare needs
and general interests of all overseas Filipinos particularly
overseas workers.
