FUNCTION
The Center for
Maritime and Ocean Affairs (MOAC) was created through Department
Order No. 36-94. MOAC is envisioned to be DFA's central
staff in relation to the formulation, coordination an
implementation of the government's ocean and maritime policy in
its external dimension. It also serves as the Secretariat
for the Cabinet Committee on Maritime and Ocean Affairs.
The MOAC is headed
by a Secretary General, concurrently serving as the head of the
Cabinet Committee Secretariat. An Executive Officer handles
all operational matters.
