The Department of Foreign Affairs issues the following statement on the cross-Straits issue:

“The Philippines is concerned over recent actions and statements on the cross-Straits issue which may undermine the processes of dialogue and peace-building in the region.

The Philippines adheres to the one-China policy and hopes that the issue will be resolved peacefully and in a manner conducive to the peace and stability of the region.”
