Aquatic Adventures

Sea Kayaking

Sea kayaking is very popular in the Philippines. While sea kayaking, adventurers will discover uninhabited islands, secret beaches, hidden lagoons, world class scuba diving spots and many more. A prime spot for sea kayaking is in Calamlan Island, Palawan. Other great kayaking destinations are Boracay, Subic, Panglao, Coron, Camarines Sur and Pangasinan.

Board water sports

Board water sports is an in-demand eco-adventure activity in the Philippines. Popular destinations are Camsur Watersports Complex in Camarines Sur and Boracay. In Camsur, tourists can try wakeboarding, while Boracay offers kiteboarding where tourists can ride the waves while tethered to a giant kite.

White water rafting

Tourists can experience the adrenalin rush of white water rafting in the enchanting Cordillera mountains and in the breathtaking scenery of the Cagayan de Oro. Up North in the Cordillera mountains is the Chico River, a 72 kilometer silver of frothy river and in the southern island of Mindanao, the rough-and-tumble Cagayan De Oro river.

Land adventures

Caving

The Philippines has many caves for the ecotourist to explore. The most popular destinations for cave exploration are the Sagada Caves, the Callao Cave and the Puerto Princesa Underground River. The Sagada Caves feature magnificent limestone formations and ancestral burial sites of local indigenous peoples. The Callao Cave features a beautiful "Chapel" made of Gothic-like arches that are formed by stalagmites and stalactites. The Puerto Princesa Underground River in Palawan is the longest underground waterway in the world. The subterranean river holds rich wildlife inside its halls as well as a 20 million year-old serenia fossil, protruding in the wall cave.
