Shopping in the Philippines


A trip to the Philippines is not complete without visiting at least one of its shopping areas. They are easy to find and are scattered all over the country. The retail industry of the country is a thriving and booming sector of the Philippine economy, accounting to approximately 15% of the country's total Gross National Product (GNP) and one-third of the entire services sector. Araneta Center

Located in Cubao, Quezon City, Araneta Center was the first commercial shopping district in the Philippines. It has more than 1,800 retail, food, entertainment, and office spaces.  Araneta Center is highly accessible by public transportation and is directly linked to two major mass transit systems.

Major shopping plazas in Araneta Center are:

Gateway Mall. It has a large and glitzy collection of shops. It is also an elevated transfer point between the MRT and LRT2 lines.

Greenhills Shopping Center
