Non-Working Holidays During Eid-ul Fitr and Ninoy Aquino Day

16 August 2012 - In observance of the Eid-ul Fitr, the culmination of the Holy Month of Ramadan of our Muslim brothers and sisters, and Ninoy Aquino Day, the Department of Foreign Affairs' Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) will be closed on the following dates:

20 August 2012 (Monday)            :           Eid-ul Fitr

21 August 2012 (Tuesday)           :           Ninoy Aquino Day

In view of the above, all those with scheduled appointments on these days will be allowed to process their applications from 22 to 24 August 2012 provided that they will bring their confirmed appointment slips.  An on-call skeletal force will be assigned at the Passport Division including Courtesy Lane (CL) and Diplomatic and Official Passport Sections (DOPS) to attend to the people who might come to OCA for emergency consular assistance, including passport services (regular, diplomatic and official).

DFA Office Of Consular Affairs Announces Extended Schedule for Those Affected by Inclement Weather

08 August 2012 - The Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) announced its extended schedule for passport applicants who were unable to file their applications today due to the heavy rains brought by southwest monsoon (habagat).

In view of the continuing inclement weather brought about by heavy rains, the DFA-OCA is suspending its passport and other consular operations today, August 08, from 3:00 p.m. onwards.

Passport applicants, scheduled on August 7 (Tuesday) and today, August 8 (Wednesday), who were unable to file their applications, may come to the DFA-OCA at anytime and have their passports processed this entire week until Wednesday next week, August 15.

Passport applicants are advised to bring their appointment slips with them. END

 

 

DFA Office of Consular Affairs Announces New Schedule for those Affected by Inclement Weather

7 August 2012 - The Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) announced a new schedule for passport applicants who were unable to file their applications today as government work is suspended in the National Capital Region (NCR) due to the heavy rains brought by southwest monsoon (habagat).

In view of the continuing inclement weather brought about by heavy rains, passport applicants scheduled today, August 7, may come to the DFA-OCA and have their passports processed this entire week until Friday, August 10.

Passport applicants are advised to bring their appointment slips with them. END
 

Israel Requires Three-Year Minimum Passport Validity for Filipino Caregivers

25 July 2012 - Filipinos who wish to work as caregivers in Israel are now required to have a passport with a minimum validity of three (3) years.

Prospective applicants whose passports' are valid for less than three (3) years are advised to renew their passports before filing a working visa application.

The Israeli Embassy in Manila issues one month working visa for approved workers. Renewal of the worker's visa will depend on the employment contract signed by the worker and the employer. END
 

DFA to Close for Labor Day

The Department of Foreign Affairs' Main Office in Pasay City, the Office of Consular Affairs in Parañaque City, and all Regional Consular Offices will be closed tomorrow, 01 May 2012, in observance of Labor Day.

Regular operations will resume the following day, May 02, Wednesday. END
