DFA Office of Consular Affairs Closed on April 21 and 22 in Observance of Holy Week

20 April 2011 - The Department of Foreign Affairs - Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) wishes to inform the public that it will be closed for processing and releasing of passports and authenticated documents on April 21 and 22 (Thursday and Friday).

This is in view of the declaration of 21-22 April 2011 as non-working holidays in observance of the Holy Week.

DFA-OCA will resume its reglar working schedule on Monday, 25 April 2011. END



 

Office of Consular Affairs Announces New Trunkline Number

20 April 2011 - The Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) wishes to inform the public that beginning April 25, trunkline number 556-0000 will be available for all passport and consular-related inquiries.

This trunkline number is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. END

07 April 2011 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reiterates its appeal to all Filipinos to avoid accepting offers from individuals or groups to carry illegal drugs in their luggages or in their person when going abroad in exchange for money, as harsh penalties await them in their destinations.

Maintenance Work, Equipment Upgrades in ePassport Ongoing

14 March 2011-The Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) said today that maintenance work and equipment upgrades in the ePassport Personalization Center at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) facility are ongoing.

As a result, delays in passport releases are to be expected, especially in Regional Consular Offices (RCO) and at various Embassies and Consulates General.  The delay could last for a few more weeks.
