5 June 2012 - The Embassy of the Philippines in Rome celebrated Philippine Flag Day or "Araw ng Watawat" on May 28, with a flag-raising ceremony, Panunumpa sa Watawat and a small salu-salo breakfast with early-morning applicants at the consular section.
Philippine flags are prominently flown around the Embassy grounds. The observation of Philippine Flag Day begins the Embassy's activities leading towards the 114th Philippine Independence Day celebration on June 12. END
