DFA’s Regional Consular Office in Lucena Celebrates 114th Anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence

14 June 2012- The Department of Foreign Affairs' Regional Consular Office (RCO) in Lucena City celebrated the 114th anniversary of the declaration of Philippine Independence at the Pacific Mall grounds last June 12.

The celebration was capped with the reading of Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert F. del Rosario's message by RCO Officer-in-Charge Tomara M. Ayo immediately after the flag-raising ceremony.

Several personalities in Region IV graced the event including the special representative of Quezon Governor David Suarez, Engr. Rowell Radovan; AFP Southern Luzon Command's (SOLCOM) Major Gerry Badon and Col. Alvin Tiam Watt; National Statistics Office (NSO) Quezon Provincial Statistics Officer Airene Pucyutan; SOLCOM's Chief Commander, Lt. Gen. Roland Detabali; Lucena City Administrator Ramon Y. Talaga Jr.; Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) Lucena Manager Elmer Arias; and Pacific Mall Manager Catalina Jabrica. END
