In his remarks, Consul General Jose urged Filipinos in Shanghai to use their positions --- whether as top executives, teachers, musicians, entrepreneurs or investors --- to play a positive role in helping put the relations between the Philippines and China back on track in the face of the current tensions in the West Philippine Sea.  This could be done by continuing to extend their hand of friendship to their Chinese colleagues, employees and neighbors, and to always display at their workplace the finest virtues of the Filipino like excellence, honesty and hard work so as to leave a favorable impression on the Chinese people, added the Consul General.

The gathering was capped by a Filipino breakfast salu-salo, with three professional Filipina singers performing musical numbers. END
