18 June 2012- Council members Eric Garcetti and Jose Huizar led the Los Angeles City Council in presenting a Resolution proclaiming the month of June as Philippine Independence Month.
The adoption of the Resolution coincides with the celebration of the 114th Anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence.
The Resolution was presented to the Filipino-American Community in Los Angeles represented by Consul General Mary Jo Bernardo Aragon and the officers and members of the Los Angeles Filipino Association of City Employees (LAFACE). END
