11 July 2012- The Philippine Honorary Consulate General in Tbilisi, Georgia hosted a reception on June 15 in celebration of the 114th year anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence.
The occasion coincides with the 20th Anniversary of the Diplomatic Relations between the Philippines and Georgia and the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of the office of the Honorary Consul of the Philippines in the country's capital.
The garden reception was attended by Heads of accredited diplomatic missions and International Organizations in Tbilisi, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Georgian Parliament, as well as members of the Filipino Community.
Non-resident Philippine Ambassador to Georgia Marilyn J. Alarilla commended the entire Consulate team in Tbilisi under the exemplary leadership of Philippine Honorary Consul General Teimuraz Chichinazde for the valuable service rendered to the Philippine Government and the Filipino people since the establishment of the Consulate there in 2002.
