21 June 2012- Philippine Consul General to Chicago Leo M. Herrera-Lim led the commemoration of the 151st birth anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal with a floral offering at the Dr. Jose P. Rizal Monument on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago last June 19.
The annual celebration was attended by the Consulate's officers, chapter commanders of the Knights of Rizal (KOR) and leaders of the Filipino-American community.
As part of the celebration, the documentary Pluma, produced by GMA7 which highlights Rizal's life and works, was also shown at the Consulate's Kalayaan Hall to increase the public's awareness of Dr. Rizal. END
