26 February 2013 - The officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy in Mexico, as well as their families and some members of the Filipino community celebrated the 27th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution on February 23 in simple rites at the Philippine Embassy.
In his brief message, Ambassador George B. Reyes noted that the People Power Revolution led the dramatic transformation of the Philippine political landscape.
The activities included a screening of the moving documentary, Ninoy: The Heart and the Soul, and a photo exhibit on the assassination of Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr. and the EDSA Revolution in February 1986.
Refreshments were served after the screening of the documentary. END
