27 February 2013 - In commemoration of the 27th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, Philippine Consul General to Honolulu Julius D. Torres led a simple and solemn flag raising ceremony at the Philippine Consulate General on February 25, followed by a recitation of the “Panunumpa sa Watawat”
A film showing of the documentary “Ninoy: The Heart and the Soul” was held at Consulate’s Conference Room in the afternoon.
The People Power Revolution or the the EDSA Revolution, was a popular demonstration in the Philippines in 1986, which saw the overthrow of Marcos dictatorship and the restoration of Philippine democracy. END
