5 March 2013 - The Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou, China observed the 27th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution with a short program held at the Consulate on February 25.
The program commenced with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem.
In his remarks, Consul General Raly L. Tejada expressed the significance of the day’s celebration to the whole Filipino nation, and briefly described what transpired on the 25th of February 1986, when nearly two million Filipinos gathered in EDSA to participate in a bloodless revolution that ousted then President Ferdinand Marcos.
A one and a half-hour video documentary entitled, “Ninoy: The Heart and The Soul,” which features the life of late Senator Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino, Jr. was shown. END
