9 June 2011 - The Department of Foreign Affairs Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) regrets to inform the public that releases of passports of those who applied in Manila on May 6 and thereafter and whose passports are due for release on June 10, Friday, and thereafter will be delayed for a few days, or starting June 14 and thereafter.

DFA Consular Affairs Office to Accommodate Appointments Scheduled on June 20 on June 13-17

14 May 2011 - The Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) wishes to inform the public that all applicants scheduled for a passport appointment on June 20 (Monday) will be accomodated from June 13 to 17 (Monday to Friday).

This is  in compliance with Proclamation No. 154 declaring June 20 as a special non-working holiday, in view of the 150th birth anniversary of Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

DFA Consular Office Adds 500 New Appointment Slots to Respond to Consular Needs

DFA Consular Office Issues Advisory on Passport Applications

04 May 2011 - The Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) wishes to inform the public that measures have been put in place to address the delay in the processing and releasing of passports which are caused by the recent unprecedented increase in passport applications and other technical concerns.

The DFA will extend up to one year the validity of the current expiring passports of applicants who have urgent travel. The extension will be free of charge while  the applicants are waiting for the release of their new electronic passports (ePassports).
