08 March 2010 - The winners of the national essay-writing contest sponsored by the Department of Education (DepEd) and the National Organizing Committee (NOC) of the Special Non-Aligned Movement Ministerial Meeting on Interfaith Dialogue and Cooperation for Peace and Development (SNAMMM) were announced after the final deliberations held last March 2 at the DepEd in Pasig City.
Three high school seniors garnered the highest scores. First place was Ana E. Valeriano, from Bauan Technical School, Batangas with "Interfaith Initiatives: What It Means to Me and to My Country."
Garnering second place was Reynaldo V. David from the San Miguel National High School, Bulacan with "
We are the Children of the Moon", while third place went to Karina Lei Relatado from Digos City National High School, Davao del Sur with
"An Option for Peace and Development"
