RP Embassies in Chile, Argentina Report no Casualty in Massive Quake

28 February 2010 - The Philippine Embassy in Chile reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) today that Filipinos in Chile are safe after the country was hit by an 8.8-magnitude earthquake at 3:45 am (local time) yesterday.

Philippine Ambassador to Chile Consuelo Puyat-Reyes said that no Filipino has been hurt,   except for an ankle injury sustained by a husband of a Philippine embassy personnel after a wooden plank fell from a cabinet in their bedroom.

DFA Authentication and Passport Services Moving to New Building

27 February 2010 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) wishes to inform the public that its Office of Consular Affairs (OCA) has started the gradual transfer of its operations to a new building located at the corner of Bradco and Macapagal Avenues in Aseana Business Park, near the Mall of Asia.

 

The new 7,000-square meter, four-storey building is a few blocks away from the DFA main building.
