PHL Ambassador Hosts Dinner to Bid Farewell, Mark Women’s Day and Showcase Philippine Banana Fabric

18 March 2013 – Philippine Ambassador to Germany Maria Cleofe R. Natividad hosted a farewell dinner for outgoing Georgian Ambassador to Germany Gabriela Archduchess of Habsburg-Lothringen on March 12. The occasion also commemorated the 2013 International Women’s Day with this year’s theme “The Gender Agenda: Gaining Momentum.”

Fashion designer Fernandina Sandico-Ong capped the occasion by presenting Philippine banana fabric in a mini-fashion show demonstrating the various forms of her wrap fashion. END

North Sulawesi National Border Agency Chief Visits PHL Consul General in Manado

18 March 2013 – The Head of the National Border Agency for North Sulawesi, Mr. Yus Momonutu, paid a courtesy call on Consul General Jose dela Rosa Burgos on March 13 at the Philippine Consulate General in Manado, Indonesia.

Foremost in the agenda were plans for a delegation from the National Border Agency of North Sulawesi and the North Sulawesi House of Representatives to visit Davao City to meet with representatives of the Indonesian community there, as well as to meet with Philippine officials and stakeholders to expand cross-border relations and promote cross-border interconnectivity and trade. The visit to Davao is planned to take place during the 2nd quarter of 2013. END
