On June 12, Consul General Natividad participated in the "Araw ng Kultura 2010" celebration in Loewenthal, Essen-Werden, jointly organized by the Philippine Embassy in Berlin and the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Essen.
Accompanying her during the event were Deputy Consul General Raul Santiago Jr., the Finance Officer, and Assistant Protocol Officer.
On June 16, the Consulate General held simple "Kalayaan 2010" rites beginning with a flag-raising ceremony and ending with a lunch-buffet with family members of Consulate General staff and some members of the Filipino community.
The Consul General read the Independence Day message of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo while Deputy Consul General Santiago read the message of Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto G. Romulo.
On June 18, the Consulate General, represented by Consul General Natividad, and the Philippine Embassy in Berlin, represented by First Secretary and Consul Melicor, visited the Rizal shrine in Wilhelmsfeld for a simple wreath-laying ceremony.
They were accompanied during the wreath-laying by former Wilhelmsfeld mayor Manfred Holtzmann. END
