2 January 2012-The Philippine Embassy in Dublin reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs that in commemoration of the 115th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, the Embassy had a film showing of "Pluma", a GMA7-produced documentary, which was attended by Filipino students in Dublin last 30 December 2011.
The event aimed to educate the youth of the life and noble works of Dr. Rizal and to kindle their love for the country.
During the open forum that ensued, most of the audience shared a common thought that they all feel proud to be a Filipino after watching the film.
They also indicated their desire to participate in a similar future activity that the Embassy would undertake to promote Philippine history and culture. END
