SLAIN FILIPINO NURSE'S REMAINS ARRIVE

 The remains of Filipino nurse Deborah Remorozo arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) today, through the repatriation efforts of the Philippine Embassy in London, the Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA), and the Office for the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs (DFA-OUMWA).

 The casket containing the remains was met at the airport by Deborah's brother, Dennis Remorozo. He was accompanied by Labor Secretary Patricia Sto. Tomas, OWWA Administrator Virgilio Angelo and a Consular Officer from the OUMWA.

 Deborah's remains was loaded on a van which will take them straight to the Remorozo's hometown in San Jose, Camarines Sur.

 Foreign Affairs Secretary Blas F. Ople earlier wrote a personal request to the Hon. Jack Straw MP, Foreign Minister of the United Kingdom, asking the UK government to do everything it can to solve the murder case.

 According the a report from the Philippine Embassy  in London, the Manchester Police assigned 30 detectives to Deborah's case. - END
