21 December 2004-  The Tagbilaran City Council recognized and honored former Ambassador Pablo Rocha Suarez, Jr., one of Bohol’s accomplished residents by naming the bridge connecting to Sitio Ubos, Tagbilaran City, with Barangay Totolan, Dauis as Pablo Suarez Bridge.

The Ordinance No. C-177  was enacted on 11 August 2004 through the sponsorship of Councilor Danilo A. Bantugan and was approved on 26 October 2004 by the 9th Sangguniang Panglungsod of the City of Tagbilaran.

Ambassador Suarez is a career diplomat who passed the Foreign Affairs Officers Examination in 1955. He was honored by the President with the Order of Sikatuna Rank of Datu in 1993 in recognition of his meritorious services in international relations. END
