FILIPINO STUDENTS EXPRESS FEALAC AWARENESS IN AN ART COMPETITION
Foreign Affairs Secretary Delia Domingo Albert awarded six t alented student-artists who emerged from among thirty eight participants in the recently concluded FEALAC On-the-Spot Art Competition on 25 January 2004 in Tagaytay City.
In the high school category, the winners are Daryl Paul Maravilla (first prize), Arline Joy Lobos (second prize), and Francis Jun Guanez (third prize). While Joel Carl ocampo (first prize), Marijo Constante (second prize) and Juan Carlos Toledo (third prize) bagged the elementary category awards.
During the awarding ceremonies, Secretary Albert underscored the significance of FEALAC awareness programs among students, “noting that the students’ participation in a big international event such as the FEALAC will leave lasting impact on their lives.” “I congratulate all the participants for displaying their artistic skills which will surely be appreciated by Foreign Ministers of FEALAC-member countries when they arrive here for the Meeting,” she added.
Tagaytay City Mayor Francis N. Tolentino along with Vice Mayor Virgilio T. Ambion, Department of Education Superitendent Arabella Ramos and Mr. Bobby Yanzon awarded the prizes to the winners.
All entries will be displayed
in the Tagaytay City Convention Center during the unveiling of the FEALAC
marker. Winners will be recognized during the same occasion.
