19 October 2004 – The Department of Foreign Affairs Ladies Foundation headed by Madamme Lovely T. Romulo today met with the participating ladies of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps to set the stage for the grand International World Bazaar 2004 to be held on 30 November 2004 at the Le Pavilion, Metropolitan Park, Pasay City.

This year’s Bazaar, dubbed as Shop ‘n Help Uplift Lives, is aimed at showcasing the different products of participating countries as well to raise funds for the socio-civic projects of the Department of Foreign Affairs Ladies Foundation.

During the meeting, security and site arrangement, presentation of booth sample and layout, distribution of entrance and raffle tickets and other matter were discussed. “We will make sure that all shoppers will get not only the best deals and exciting raffle prizes but also a good a feeling that they are able to help too,” Madamme Romulo said.

The Bazaar will bring together nations from Asia, Europe, Latin America, Africa and the Northern Americas. It will offer interesting products and quality goods from the world’s leading cultures. In addition to the quality ware, major raffle prizes will delight visitors. Proceeds of the Bazaar will go to humanitarian causes for the poor, such as scholarships, assistance to hospitals and clinics, aid to small business, skills training and charitable institutions.
