25 October 2004— Philippine Ambassador to Stockholm Victoria S. Bataclan reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs that the famous painting of Filipino  National Artist Fernando Amorsolo y Cueto entitled, Cockfight, is one of the highly regarded items for auction from 02 to 05 November 2004 at Sweden’s prestigious Bukowskis Moderna auction.

The Cockfight was painted in 1953 and is valued at SEK 60,000 – 80,000 (approximately PhP 470,000 – 630,000). The painting is currently displayed for public viewing at the Bukowski showroom in Berzeli Park, Stockholm, Ambassador Bataclan said.  END
