PHILIPPINE
POSTAL CORPORATION LAUNCHES COMMEMORATIVE STAMPS TO HIGHLIGHT
THE
STATE VISIT OF H.E. PRESIDENT HU JINTAO OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA
AND
TO COMMEMORATE THE 30th ANNIVERSARY OF PHILIPPINES-CHINA DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS
27 April 2005 - Her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo presented to His Excellency President Hu Jintao a souvenir frame of special Philippine stamps issued to commemorate the State Visit of President Hu and to highlight the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Philippines-China diplomatic relations.
The Philippine Postal Corporation issued today the special stamps.
The commemorative stamps were the results of the collaborative effort of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Philippine Postal Corporation and Tulay Foundation Incorporated, which were represented in the launching ceremony by Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto G. Romulo, Postmaster General Dario Rama and Chairman Manuel Chua. (Please refer to DFA Press Release SFA-AGR-159-2005 for the background)
