AMBASSADOR BAJA RECEIVES NEW US AMBASSADOR TO UN

11 August 2005, NEW YORK - Ambassador Lauro L. Baja Jr., Philippine Permanent Representative to the United Nations, receives Ambassador John Bolton (2nd from L), the new Permanent Representative of the United States to the UN, at the Philippine Mission in New York on Thursday, 11 August 2005. During their meeting, the two envoys exchange views on the leaders summit the Philippines is proposing during its presidency of the Security Council next month as well as other issues related to the forthcoming World Summit and the 60th General Assembly. Ambassador Bolton assumed his new post last week. Assisting the Ambassadors are their respective staff members. (BAYANI SIBUG JR.)
