ACTING SECRETARY EBDALIN
BIDS FAREWELL TO
BELGIAN AMBASSADOR H.E.
CHRISTIAAN TANGHE

12 August 2005 -- Foreign
Affairs Acting Secretary Franklin M. Ebdalin offers a toast to outgoing
Belgian Ambassador Christiaan Tanghe in a farewell luncheon he hosted at
the Hyatt Regency Manila. “I wish to congratulate and express our
appreciation to Ambassador Tanghe for doing a marvelous job as the Belgian
Ambassador to the Philippines and contributing significantly to the enhancement
of the relations between the Philippines and Belgium,” the Acting Secretary
said. Joining Acting Secretary Ebdalin at the farewell luncheon
were Madame Carmen Pedrosa, Dutch Ambassador Robert Vornis, Head of the
Delegation of European Commission in the Philippine H.E. Johannes De Kok,
Czech Charges d’Affaires Radka Calabkova, Belgian Consul Peter D’huyf,
European Affairs Director Paul Raymund Cortes, Former Philippine Ambassador
to Belgium Roberto Pedrosa, Hon. Roberto Pagdanganan, Chairman of Organizing
Committee for Southeast Asian Games, LRTA Administrator Melquiades Robles
and Ms. Carmen Arceno of the Senate Protocol. The Belgian Ambassador
served a total of three years in Manila. He began his Manila posting on
30 September 2002 (Benjie Remo).
