DFA WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS OF INTERNATIONAL MONITORING TEAM FOR GRP-MILF CEASEFIRE AGREEMENT

15 August 2005 – Foreign Affairs Senior Foreign Affairs Adviser Ambassador Leonides Caday, on behalf of Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto G. Romulo, welcomes First Admiral Mohd Som bin Ibrahim, head of the new thirteen-member Malaysian contingent to the International Monitoring Team that arrived in Manila today to monitor the existing ceasefire agreement between the Philippine Government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).  Also in photo are IMT head Major General Zulkifeli bin Mohd Zin of Malaysia (left, partly hidden) and MILF Ceasefire Committee Chair Von Al Haq (center).
