SECRETARY ROMULO RECEIVES OUTGOING US CDA JOSEPH MUSSOMELI AND INCOMING US CDA DARRYL JOHNSON

2 August 2005 – Foreign Affairs Secretary receives outgoing US Chargé d’Affaires Joseph Mussomeli (center) and incoming US Chargé d’Affairs Darryl Johnson (1st R) at the Office of the Secretary, DFA.  Also in the meeting were DFA Assistant Secretary for American Affairs Ariel Abadilla (1st L) and Mrs. Sharon Mussomeli (2nd R).   After the call, Secretary Romulo conferred on behalf of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, the Order of Sikatuna with the rank of Lakan on CDA Mussomeli for his “important role in steering the RP-US alliance through several critical episodes in our relationship.”  (Mark Santos)
