SECRETARY ROMULO WITH FORMER AMBASSADORS OF THE PHILIPPINES AND CHINA AND SPOUSES


7 July 2005 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto G. Romulo joins the former Ambassadors of the Philippines to Beijing and former Ambassadors of China to Manila, with their spouses, following the luncheon he hosted at the Intercontinental Hotel, Makati City.   The reunion of the former envoys was part of the celebrations for the 30th year of Philippines-China diplomatic relations.    Shown in the photo are (L-R, standing) Ambassador Rafael Gonzales (1975-1976), Ambassador Romualdo Ong (1994-2000), Ambassador Huang Guifang (1991-1995), Philippine Ambassador-designate to Beijing Teofisto Guingona, Ambassador Wang Yingfan (1988-1990), Secretary Romulo, Ambassador Chen Songlu (1984-1988), Chinese Ambassador Wu Hongbo, Ambassador Guan Dengmin (1995-1999), Ambassador Felipe Mabilangan (1989-1994), and Ambassador Josue Villa (2000-2003).  Joining the Ambassadors are the spouses of the honorees, namely, (L-R, seated) Mme. Zhang Liangying, Mme. Wei Pingsu, Mme. Qu Guiying, Mrs. Lovely Rose Romulo, Mme.
