21 March 2005 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto G. Romulo receives Cambodian Ambassador Ok Socheat in a courtesy call held at the Manila Diamond Hotel. Ambassador Socheat is a former member of the Cambodian national assembly, and had previously visited the Philippines to attend the Asia Regional Forum of Global Parliamentarians on Habitat.  The Ambassador also had working relations with the current Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. The Secretary stated that he looks forward to increased RP- Cambodia bilateral trade and greater understanding and mutual support among the people’s of the two countries. (Tony Bosa)
