21 March 2005 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto G. Romulo (second from left) hosts a welcome lunch for Thai Ambassador Madame Asha Dvitiyananda (second from right) at the Manila Diamond Hotel.   In his remarks, Secretary Romulo said he highly appreciated the Thai government’s warm welcome and gracious hospitality, which was accorded to him and his delegation when he visited Bangkok on 3-4 March 2005, for talks with Thailand’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister on economic relations, tourism cooperation, shared economic development programs, intelligence exchanges, the inter-faith dialogue, tsunami issues, and regional integration. The Secretary said that he is confident that during Ambassador Asha’s tour of duty in the Philippines, they can implement joint projects and initiatives to realize the vision that he shared with Thai leaders for the strengthening of RP-Thailand relations.  (Tony Bosa)
