REGIONAL OFFICE IN TUGUEGARAO CONDUCTS SUCCESSFUL MOBILE PASSPORT SERVICE

CABARROGUIS, QUIRINO PROVINCE
22 March 2005 – In line with the DFA’s continuing thrust to bring the Department’s services closer to the people, the Regional Consular Office in Tuguegarao (RCO Tuguegarao) held a two-day mobile passport service from 19 to 20 March 2005 in the province of Quirino. The mobile service was extend by RCO Tuguegarao upon the invitation of Governor Pedro Bacani.
During the two-day mobile service, the RCO Tuguegarao team was able to issue a total of 387 passports for the benefit of the constituents of the province who no longer need to travel all the way to Tuguegarao, where the DFA regional office is located.
The mobile service was held at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Cabarroguis. Present during the activity were local executives led by the Provincial Administrator and a number of Provincial Board members, who were there to supervise the conduct of affairs.
The Consular team from RCO Tuguegarao was assisted by staff from the Office of the Governor, especially for crowd control, which led to the overall success of the activity.
Officials of the Province of Quirino expressed their appreciation for the efforts given by the DFA in making the Department’s consular services more accessible to their constituents. END.
