DFA CONDUCTS MOBILE PASSPORT SERVICE IN PUERTO PRINCESA
30 March 2005 – The Office of Consular Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs conducted its Mobile Passport Services operations in Puerto Princesa, Palawan from 3 to 6 March 2005.
Upon the invitation of Puerto Princesa Mayor Edward S. Hagedorn, Consular Affairs Assistant Secretary Teresita V.G. Barsana represented the Secretary of Foreign Affairs in the city’s 133rd Foundation Day Anniversary and headed the Mobile Passport Team that flew to Palawan.
The team arrived on Thursday 3 March 2005 and started processing applications at the Puerto Princesa City Coliseum. The processing lasted until Saturday 5 March 2005 and the team left the following day for Manila. A separate group of three staff team members returned to Palawan to release the passports from 11 to 13 March 2005.
Mayor Hagedorn expressed
his sincere appreciation to Assistant Secretary Barsana and the entire
Mobile Passport Team for the successful conduct of the mobile passport
services. Mobile Passport Coordinator Honesto L. Ramos Jr. said a
total of five hundred forty five applications were processed with total
collections of PhP408,740.00. END
