FIESTA PILIPINAS IN NIGERIA

11 May 2005—Philippine Ambassador to Nigeria Masaranga R. Umpa (left photo) receives a donation amounting to US$4,000 from Filipino community leader Manny Figueroa for the government’s project Classroom Galing Manggagawa Abroad.  The presentation was held during the Fiesta Celebration of the Filipino community last month at the Pan African Compound in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria. The celebration showcases performances by members of the Filipino community, Filipino food bazaar, film showing, sales of crafts, games, karaoke competition and face painting (right photo).
