11 May 2005, United Nations, New York, USA – Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto G, Romulo addresses the Review Conference of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.  In his address before the Conference which is tasked to review a key disarmament treaty to make it more effective, Secretary Romulo said “We all have a collective responsibility to perpetuate human life in this planet. Our mission begins by ensuring a credible and effective Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty as the centerpiece of the entire multilateral disarmament machinery. Our positive action here will inspire other multilateral disarmament fora from small arms to chemical and other weapons of mass destruction to bolster their efforts.”
