ROMULO PUSHES FOR VETERANS CAUSE; ASSURES VETERANS OF CONTINUED RP ACTION

18 May 2005, Washington DC – Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto G. Romulo meets with Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs Gordon H. Mansfield, the chief operating officer of the US Department of Veterans Affairs.  Secretary Romulo conveyed the strong advocacy of the Philippine government on behalf of Filipino World War II veterans.  To Secretary Romulo’s right are Philippine Ambassador to the United States Alberto G. Romulo and Major General Delfin N. Lorenzana (ret), Special Presidential Representative on Veterans Affairs and Head of the Office of Veterans Affairs of the Philippine Embassy.
 

16 May 2005, Philippine Embassy, Washington DC.- Secretary Romulo assures Filipino World War II veterans that the Philippine government will continue to fight for their interests.
