TUGUEGARAO RCO ISSUES 973 NEW PASSPORTS IN MOBILE PASSPORT SERVICES HELD IN CAUAYAN, SANTIAGO CITIES
15 November 2005 – Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Florencio A. Franco, Jr., of the DFA Regional Consular Office (RCO) in Tuguegarao reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs that the RCO has issued a total of 973 new passports from mobile passport services held in Cauayan City on 29 – 30 October 2005 and in Santiago City on 12 – 13 November 2005.
OIC Franco reported that 377 passports were issued in Cauayan City with a total collection of PhP282,950 while 596 passports were issued in Santiago City with a total revenue of PhP447,200.
OIC Franco said that the mobile passport service was delivered in the two cities upon the invitations of their respective mayors who accorded warm hospitality and accommodation to the mobile passport teams. The turnouts for the mobile passport services were also impressive, as evidenced by the large number of passports issued.
OIC Franco stated that in addition
to the 250 passports issued by the Tuguegarao RCO everyday, it offers mobile
passport services twice a month to serve people outside Tuguegarao but
within jurisdiction of the Regional Consular Office. END
