COMMISSION ON APPOINTMENTS CONFIRMS NEW AMBASSADORS AND FSOs
16 November 2005 – The Department of Foreign Affairs today announced that the Commission on Appointments (CA) has confirmed the appointments of eleven Ambassadors, one Chief of Mission, Class II; seven Career Ministers and four Foreign Service Officers, Classes I and II.
At its Third Plenary Session of the Thirteenth Congress held at the Senate building, the CA en banc gave its consent and confirmation to the appointments and nominations of the following DFA officers:
Appointment and Nomination
1. Norberto R. Basilio - - - - Chief of Mission, Class I and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh with concurrent jurisdiction over the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Republic of Maldives;
Nominations
2. José A. Zaide - - - - - - - - -Chief of Mission, Class I, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the French Republic with concurrent jurisdiction over the Principality of Monaco and the Portuguese Republic;
3. Susan O. Castrence - - - Chief of Mission, Class I, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Korea;
4. Jose P. del Rosario, Jr. - - Chief of Mission, Class I, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with concurrent jurisdiction over the Palestine Republic;

8. Linglingay F. Lacanlale - Chief of Mission, Class II, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Austria with concurrent jurisdiction over the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovak Republic;
9. Bahnarim A. Guinomla - Chief of Mission, Class II as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Turkey with concurrent jurisdiction over Georgia and the Republic of Azerbaijan;
10. Al Francis C. Bichara - - as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, to the Lebanese Republic with concurrent jurisdiction over the Syrian Arab Republic with the salary and emoluments of a chief Mission, Class II;
