DFA, JAPANESE EMBASSY TO UNDERTAKE ACTIVITIES TO REVITALIZE RP-JAPAN BILATERAL RELATIONS

24 October 2005 -- The Philippines-Japan Friendship Year (PJFY) will start with the traditional Japanese drum beaters, “Wadaiko-Yamato” (similar to the photo above) on 11 January 2006 at the CCP Main Theater. The Steering Committee is tasked to promote PJFY and jointly chaired by the DFA and the Japanese Embassy to undertake activities that aims to revitalize Philippines-Japan bilateral relations at all levels.  The Philippines and Japan will celebrate on 2006 the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations.
