DFA RCO LUCENA TRANSFERS TO A NEW LOCATION
07 October 2005 - The Department
of Foreign Affairs today announced that the Regional Consular Office (RCO)
in Lucena will temporarily transfer its office effective Monday, 10 October
2005 at the following address :
| 3rd Floor, Pacific Pall Lucena
M.L. Tagarao Street, Barangay III Lucena City |
The transfer will give way to the construction of the new RCO building courtesy of the City Government of Lucena. The construction is expected to be completed by the 2nd quarter of 2006.
While at its temporary office location, RCO will continue to observe its regular business hours of 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Mondays through Fridays. Applicants who will arrive before the mall opens at 9:00 A.M. should use the Loading Bay area located at the back of Mug Cafe at the Sabina Entrance along the Landco Plaza.
RCO also conducts Mobile Passport Services (MPS) during Saturdays from 8:00 A.M. - 5.00 P.M. in Regions IV A & B in coordination with Local Government Units. Listed below is the schedule of upcoming MPS:

From 2003-2004, RCO Lucena has conducted a total of 22 Mobile Passport Services within the regions that processed and issued 10,592 passports. For this year, it has rendered 14 Mobile Passport Services in the Municipalities/Cities of Los Baños; Sta. Rosa; Sta. Cruz, Laguna; Calamba, Dasmariñas, Cavite; San Pedro, Laguna; Calapan City in Oriental Mindoro; Real, Quezon; Batangas City; Pila, Laguna; San Pablo City; Carmona, Cavite; and Unisan, Quezon with a total of 6,833 passports processed and issued. As of July 2005, RCO Lucena has the most number of passports issued during Mobile Passport Service among the 11 DFA Regional Consular Offices.
When applying for a passport,
applicants must submit the authenticated birth certificate, authenticated
marriage contract (for married women), three (3) passport-size photographs,
and valid IDs such as Driver's license, SSS and GSIS cards, employment,
student, and other supporting documents. END
