23 September 2005 – Executive Director Pedro Chan (1st L, seated) of the Office of Migrant Workers Affairs, DFA signs the Social Compact after the three-day First National Domestic Workers Summit held at Skyline Riverbend Hotel.  One of the other signatories to the Social Compact is Dr. Sofia Arce (3rd R, seated), a partner of the Visayan Forum and  the Assistant Principal of Batangas University.   Ms. Cecilia Flores- Oebanda (2nd L, seated) of the Visayan Forum looks on.   Labor and Employment Secretary Patricia Sto. Tomas (7th L, standing), who delivered the keynote address on behalf of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, witnesses the signing ceremony with other NGO representatives.  The First National Domestic Workers Summit gathered a total of 200 domestic workers as delegates representing every region in the country and some from overseas.
