DFA BRIEFS LAPUEBLA-PARAÑGAN FAMILY, COMPANIONS BEFORE THEIR TRIP TO SINGAPORE

22 September 2005 – Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Jose S. Brillantes (2nd R) briefs Mr. Crusaldo Lapuebla (1st L), husband of slain OFW Jane Parañgan Lapuebla, and Ms. Sally Parañgan (2nd L), OFW Jane's aunt-guardian, shortly before their departure for Singapore to pay their last respects to Jane.  Undersecretary Brillantes informed them that they would be met upon their arrival in Singapore by Ambassador Belen F. Anota of the Philippine Embassy, and would be updated on the status of the case.  Undersecretary Brillantes also said that the Embassy is ready to offer them further assistance during their stay at the city-state. With the Lapuebla-Parañgan family are OUMWA Legal Officer Violet Ancheta (3rd L), Mr. Dante Jimenez of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (4th L), and Assistant Secretary Thompson Lantion of the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) (1st R).
