DFA,
DOLE-OWWA, DSWD AND DOTC EXTEND ASSISTANCE TO
HUSBAND
OF SLAIN OFW JANE LA PUEBLA

19 September 2005 – Foreign
Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs Jose S. Brillantes
explains to Mr. Crusaldo Lapuebla, wife of slain OFW Jane Parañgan
Lapuebla in Singapore, the assistance being extended by the DFA to ensure
the immediate repatriation of the remains of Jane and the assistance to
the family she left behind. Undersecretary Brillantes met Crusaldo
at the DFA where he was brought by DSWD officials from Nueva Vizcaya.
Joining Undersecretary Brillantes are (L-R) Department of Transportation
and Communication Assistant Secretary and Mr. Lapuebla’s custodian Thompson
Lantion, Mr. Dante Jimenez of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption,
and Ms. Sally Parañgan, the late OFW’s aunt and guardian. (Mark
