SECRETARY ROMULO MEETS KUWAIT AMBASSADOR IN DIPLOMATIC EFFORTS TO SAVE OFW RANARIO

 

25 January 2006 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto G. Romulo met this afternoon with Kuwaiti Ambassador Bader Nasser Ali-Al-Houti to convey the Philippine government’s concern over the case of OFW Marilou Ranario who has been charged in court for allegedly killing her employer.  The Kuwaiti Ambassador vowed to cooperate with the Department of Foreign Affairs, and convey the Philippines’ concerns to the Kuwaiti Government.  Ambassador Ali-Al-Houti expressed his willingness to give full attention to the case.
