FILIPINA SURVIVOR OF NINE-STOREY FALL ARRIVES HOME

26 January 2006 – DFA Case Officer Louie Jay Domingo (2nd R) welcomes OFW Veronica F. Bangit (in wheelchair) and Attaché and Embassy Administrative Officer Ma. Corona F. Rodriguez (1st R) of the Philippine Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, as they arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 1:10 p.m., 26 January 2006, aboard Singapore Airlines from Cairo.   OFW Bangit returns home after having been sheltered and cared for by the Embassy for almost two months while recuperating from her injuries sustained after falling from the ninth-floor apartment of her employers in Cairo, and until being cleared to travel by Egyptian authorities.  Mrs. Rodriguez accompanied OFW Bangit on the flight to Manila.  Mr. Reynaldo Bangit (1st L) was on hand to meet  his daughter at the NAIA.
