SECRETARY ROMULO AND ISRAELI
AMBASSADOR OPEN PHOTO EXHIBIT
IN OBERVANCE OF ‘INTERNATIONAL HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY’

26 January 2006 – Foreign
Affairs Secretary Alberto G. Romulo and Ambassador Yehoshua Sagi of the
Embassy of the State of Israel formally open the photo exhibit “No Child’s
Play: Children in the Holocaust – Creativity and Play” at the DFA Lobby.
The exhibit is part of the worldwide observance of the International Holocaust
Remembrance Day held pursuant to a Resolution adopted by the United Nations
General Assembly in 2005. In his remarks, Secretary Romulo
said “these images of children in the concentration camps underscore humanity’s
responsibility to learn from those blighted episodes of our history.
For indeed while the Holocaust was a unique tragedy to the Jewish people,
its lessons are universal.” (Tony Bosa)
